The Wichita Children’s Theatre Professional Touring Company will present THE UGLY DUCKLING at Chaparral High School, on Friday,  February 2nd, 2024, at 9 am.  This performance is for students in grades Pre-K through 2nd.

Everyone thinks the little new-born is just plain ugly. He doesn’t look like the others, he doesn’t talk like the others, and he certainly doesn’t act like the others. He is just so different in so many ways – and on a farm, different isn’t so good. Our hero soon helps everyone learn an important lesson about fitting in, and how, sometimes, the smallest person can be the biggest bully. Your young audiences will love watching this musical adaptation of the Ugly Duckling turning into a Handsome Swan and will learn the importance of individuality and finding your place in the world. The Ugly Duckling is a musical comedy adaptation by Kevin M Reese based on the popular children’s story.

The Wichita Children’s Theatre Professional Touring Company performs from September through February in Kansas and Nebraska.  The Company is professional in every facet, complete with storybook sets, costumes, and props appropriate for each production.
